Eagle Arms N. Y. N. Y.
“Eagle Arms” was one of the U.S. brand names under which J. L. Galef & Son, a New York–based firearms wholesaler and importer, sold and marketed imported firearms, including black‑powder/replica pieces. The firm dealt heavily in imported firearms (notably European shotguns and pistols) and acted as a national distributor for various makers. At the time they were a major importer that received factory shipments from many Italian makers like Uberti, MAVI, and others. Jacques L. Galef founded J. L. Galef & Son, Inc. in New York City and served as its president, and by 1971, it was described as a leading firearms wholesaler at 85 Chambers Street in Manhattan. Mr. Galef had also been the American representative of Dynamit‐ Nobel and Birmingham Small Arms of England. Dynamit-Nobel is the maker of the infamous RWS Percussion Caps.
After his death in 1971, J. L. Galef & Son continued operations into the 1970s ans early 1980's, but firm finally liquidated its remaining business around 1983, ending its role as an importer/wholesaler.
